The way Errol acting reminds me exactly of the way AB was acting back in the day after his fame started to go down a bit.

Idk about comparing Errol to AB. Errol a fulltime family man and probably seeing the performances lf Boots, Ortiz and even Bud he probably feels that shyt aint worth it logically even though his heart may want to compete. Dont want to end up like Lubin lol

I mentioned it earlier in this thread, the Lubin story is so tragic. Highly touted Amateur who went pro. There was NO REASON to go and face Charlo that early in your career. Just circle the block later, that fight would have always been there years later!

Also at that time at around 2017, Charlo wasn't even Undisputed yet. Lubin could have became a world champion against someone else in the Top 10. Just mind boggling when you think about it smh

Boots defense is definitely his biggest issue. He's gonna take some big shots. But I think boots is a much better in between pucher. And that's where Virgil is gonna have problems. Boots is just more dynamic offensively. We already know he's got the faster hands and feet. But people will be surprised when boots shows superior power too.

Totally agree. He got knocked out basically twice now with one punch. Fighting Charlo wasn’t a mistake but a calculated risk. As a pro he below championship level. Murta would have done the same thing.

Mario Barrios isn't good enough and has a World Title

Titles don’t mean much these days. You can be in the right place at the right time and get a belt. Barrios and his team deserves respect for navigating his career and he no slouch, he probably beats half the top 10, he just is not a for sure top 3 guy in his division

Exactly, that's my point. Lubin could have navigated to win a world title against another World Champion instead of going head first into Charlo

Rolly Romero didn't have to face Boots
Xander Zayas didn't have to face Fundora or Murtazaliev to get a world title

Boots is more talented and dynamic but he hasn’t really shown he can deal with pressure from a really good fighter. Fighters protecting their zeros leads to a short career at the top. Boots can beat all these guys but his team don’t believe in him like that. The way we criticized Floyd seems very unjust now watching Boots. He is no where near Spence level even.

Circumstance. Remember he was a HOT prospect and Charlo at the time was being heavily slept on, but he was in the way. Fight was close to even odds and wasn’t til after that Charlo was then seen as the guy. A title could’ve meant another big payday or two but he probably would’ve been retired earlier. Btw I also thought Charlo was gonna beat Tszyu.
