So it’s settled. Mitch is the 5th starter right? Dealers choice when he’s load managing but he adds a dynamic to this team that nobody else can. Top 10 big in the league on a ridiculous discount.

What I really liked about last night was the ebbs and flows of the offense. They started a little slow, so they shifted to KAT playing inside. Once KAT got some gravity going, the kick outs tore the defense up. Then Minne keyed on the kick outs again. So, the third quarter started and Brunson got the downhill attack going again. Like clockwork, the defense shifted to Brunson and the kick outs started working again.

...and then the fourth quarter started and Minnesota was just broken. They didn't know whether to close out the paint or stay in the passing lanes to stop the kick outs. Meanwhile, the Knicks were so comfortable that guys like OG and Deuce were flying into the paint for finishes or making an extra pass when it wasn't there.

And while all that's going on, when Minnesota does make a good decision and defend a shot or an open look happens to miss, Mitch would just come flying in and get a second chance that forced Minnesota to do it all over again.
