You know this kid is definitely super smart but there really is something beneficial about “proper” homeschooling. True story I have cousins that were homeschooled and they got degrees from Yale, Columbia and MIT respectively. I feel like they never had to deal with the social pressures or diminishing self worth that society places on black folk. The only downside is my cousins are REALLY socially awkward, to the point that they have a comically pure innocence that society will take advantage of. So I support homeschooling, but with an equal balance of socializing.
homeschool them then send them to some afterschool program at your local y

yo when I tell you my kids are gonna be winter soldiers in the making :mygawd:

homeschooling your kids is definetley not for everyone

i've tried it myself for two years with my oldest son, but I felt like I wasn't really adequate in teaching him

plus it don't help I get just as easily frustrated as any kid do, so we decided last year to enroll them in public school.

Congrats to the breh and his family.

I wonder how they're going to keep him up with socializing within his age group. It's wild to realize this kid is gonna get a damn college degree before he even completes puberty. :wow:

After HS I found out that in the state of maryland you only need 21 credits to graduate hs I was so pissed. Thats like 2 semesters. If you homeschool right you can accomplish 4 years of time in 1 year... Now with the requirements to take AP classes, spend 2 more years taking the general AP classes to get that college credit and you've accomplished HS+freshman year in 1 calendar year if you use the summer. S/o to Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu, Barbara Sizemore, and Dr. Amos Wilson for the early knowledge that Elijah "Precisely" Precciely is not an outlier but really the standard.

my brother is a legit genius (builds satellites in silicon valley now :wow: ), was getting college looks at like 10 and 11 and got. If my memory serves me correct, 130+ colleges asking him to join their college (stanford, UCLA, Harvard, etc and europe colleges offered scholarships to go there as well), even got grants from the government for being so smart

decided on UCSD (I guess the engineering program there is good plus he wanted to move away). Which worked out for him because he was not social at all growing up (stayed in the books while we was fukking around outside) and being in the dorms with social people he never knew forced him to interact more often

then theirs dumbass me :bryan: 5 F's on 1 report card kicked off the football team :bryan:

its definitely a gift you are born with (rather retaining information or understanding it better or whatever separates them from us). These kids will go wherever they want in life long as they stay on the path they are on
