11-year-old fatally shot after ringing doorbell and running from Houston home, officials say

Had some kids/teens doing this in our neighborhood (in Houston, at night), neighbors posted the Ring footage. They weren’t ringing the doorbell or knocking, they were turning around backwards and kicking the shyt out of the door, like someone trying to break in would do. My neighborhood is full of retired veterans waiting for somebody to try some shyt.

Because that's probably not what the shooter thought was happening? I have kids playing that game at my door all the time, always during the day. Annoys me sure but I would never shoot someone for it. On the flip side I have had grown drunk homeless people knock on my door past dark (I have cameras so I saw them stumbling up) worried be me enough where I got my gun. Just recently I had a group of chick's confuse my address with the address of girl there were looking to jump, again another incident with someone ringing the bell,this one there was wildin so much I spoke to them though the cam only

With this case I would be curious to see what the shooter saw. Someone creeping low up his driveway/porch (which is how kids do this usually)? Does the neighborhood have a lot of crime already?

yeah that's what i was seeing too

there was an incident in VA where they initially reported it as doorbell ditching when in reality the kids were masked up and banding this guy's front door and other entrances to his house

The victim fell prey to darwinism. Playing games on private property in America ends in you getting shot, it's only a matter of time

Tiktok shouldn't be available to minors, but then again young kids shouldn't have cell phones to begin with so the parents are also to blame for not supervising their child. Why is he pulling neighborhood pranks at 11pm? That kid was a juvenile delinquent and his parents deserve jail time for negligence.
