It seems pretty clear that AEW is aimless. They've broken every rule they set up for themselves in 10 weeks. All the rematches, the wins/loss system still has yet to be explained and hasn't been followed at all anyway and this was one of the first things they touted when they started the company, they highlight a talent and then take them off TV for weeks so they have to start from scratch again the next time you see them (Darby is the biggest example, and it's been done with him 3 times now, but he's certainly not the only one), the treatment of the tag and women's titles is atrocious (SCU wins the tag titles, Scorpio immediately challenges for the world title, is working dark match singles triple threat the next week and not mentioned on TV. Riho has gone weeks at a time without being on TV, her PPV build was a screen grab of a spreadsheet of match results posted on twitter the day of the show, there are at least 3 women getting more focus and angles and promotion than her despite Riho being the champ.), as well as "we're not going to have dirty finishes" yet nearly every heel wins via cheating or outside interference.
There's also Cody now having TWO feuds where the heels have the same motivation, but aren't related to each other. And Jericho's gimmick seems to be he's running through a different era of his character each week or multiple at once. Sometimes he's NJPW Jericho, sometimes he's 1998 full comedy temper tantrum WCW Jericho, sometimes he's 2016 Jericho, sometimes he's 2009 Jericho, sometime's he's just a dadboner.
