Looks like the 13-year-old driver plead guilty to 2nd degree and will get out at 21 years old.

If you didn't have a family member murdered in cold blood on video with the teen killers laughing and showing no remorse then you're not talking about the same thing.
Idc what led up to this incident, all I care is what happened after. Did the driver stop to check on the guy? Did any of them suggest to do so? Did any of them "freaked out" at what they just did? Or did they laugh about it after. The answers to those questions would determine whether I think they should all get the maximum sentence or not.

dude was in a bike lane but painted lines isn't protection from an accident or intentionally stupid or malicious drivers.
multiple societal and infrastructure policy failures lead to this tragedy.
I risk getting a ticket every time I ride my bike on a road because I always ride in the opposite direction of traffic. I don't trust drivers not to hit me from behind and If a driver or backseat passenger in a parked car sees me coming it's less likely i'll get doored. i'd rather risk getting a ticket than getting injured or dying while riding my bike.
