and that was my theory going in. After Oba and Jevon won, it's looking like it could be happening. They had Jevon say he isn't waiting until New Year's Evil but they also promoted the match for the event.

Then IF Oba is done with NXT and Jevon is champ after all that, Tony D could be Evan's first feud. All the pieces are there. Let's see what they do.

Yeah the gist of my thinking going in was to have Oba win it back, Jevon win the ISC, then he finally beats Oba for the title. Now that Tony attacked Jevon, it seems like they are setting up something between them. The best scenario is for Oba to have a good showing or even win vs Cody at SNME, with or without Drew's help to help solidify a main roster spot for him. When they make him part of the roster after this is just a waiting game but I would definitely have him in the Royal Rumble.

By that point hopefully Oba & Trick would be called up that’s where Tony D comes into play where he’s needed in the main event scene

They did have a backstage segment between Ricky and JeVon before the main event.

It showed a character change in Ricky so this is believable.

As for Tony, he may be JeVon’s first challenge, especially after he attacked him to finish the show.

Let me tell yall something about the young gawd Oba Femi.

He should be booked as one of those generational forces of nature in wrestling. If he is not change itself, he is an agent of change. His entrance theme is called Hands of Fate and he is literally the hands of fate. When you face Oba, it should change you, whether you win or lose. The blueprint for how he should be booked is there- Goldberg, Lesnar- that is an easy expectation to meet. Sometimes it's okay to meet expectations and in this case they can meet them and exceed them. Cody don't need to win this match, and if he does, he better win it after 6 Cross Rhodes, don't give me that three bullshyt. Cody should have to give it all he got and no matter the outcome, Cody need to be questioning himself after it's done.
