You can lose a lot of money really fast if you don't know what you are doing. It is really impressive that anyone much less a kid can thrive in that game.
The wife and I looked at it before we inevitably moved torward real estate where we felt like it was easier to control and gauge the market than dealing with stocks.

Bruh I bought 338 put options and when the market opened I was up $10k...I ended up selling for $4.7k thobiggest 1 day pay day ever.I made 1300 on plug and tesla options last friday.
got 77 shares of plug back when it was $5
Currently got a 70$ call expiring on the 22nd, was +$400 last week, I should have cashed out last week.

I feel you. real estate investors and stock investors are just 2 different types of investors mind state wise.
I sometimes think about cashing out my shares and buying a rental but I'm just way more comfortable with stocks. Even thought about mReits but it's just a bad time for them right now with everything that's going on.
But yeah it's whatever you are comfortable with
Yeah I watched my uncle lose tens of thousands playing that game. He still plays it, but we didn't want to take that chance.
You are right it is two totally different mindsets, but if you know what you are doing and know how to gauge the market in reference of when to buy and sell off shares you can make very good money.
My mindset isn't for it though.

you took a bet on apple for $140???If apple ain’t at 140 or above by 1/29/2021 the option expires worthless. The point isn’t to wait that long though. I want to sell the contracts for more than I paid for each one. The price I paid was $1.67. The current price is $.77.What does that even mean?
