Naw they didn't give Kareem a head coaching job because they thought he was surely and wasn't gonna play nice especially when it came to the media. Kareem is a smart, tall black dude who doesn't believe in kissing ass. So you know that ain't gonna mix with owners and the media.

Also Rick Barry couldn't get a head coaching job too because dude was a straight shooter and didnt give a fukk about stepping on toes.

There is a bias against big men/Centers as far as being head coaches..

If you notice alot of former PGs get head coaching jobs mad easy. They have always been looked at as extentions of head coaches on the floor. Big men are looked at as big oafs who wait for the ball..
