13 yrs later, Im still amazed at Lebron's debut

A year earlier Amare was really the first straight from HS baller who actually looked like a pro as rookie. I mean he was kinda raw but wasn't overwhelmed physically. Lebron looked like he'd been in the league for a couple years. It wasn't just his body either....you watch those highlights and the dude seemed so comfortable out there.


Obviously he had his struggles that 1st year and honestly Wade probably should have been ROY but given the crazy hype surrounding James, I dont remember too many people who were disappointed in his game then....and you know dudes were waiting to hate on young nikka getting that kind of attention.

I remember it, only because ESPN was showing the ending of another game.. i believe Orlando/Detroit.. and they didnt air the first few minutes of LeBron's debut at Kings... one of the biggest blunders in Television history

Last true phenom we've seen. All these Wiggins and Simmons are supposed to be the next one. We'll see. Anthony Davis still has next imo, but he needs that organization to put quality around him.

Bron was hyped like no other and delivered in his first game against a playoff team in the Kings. Everyone was waiting for him to fall flat on his face but from the first time he graced an NBA court he showed that he would be a great player. Which he is no matter what the haters want to say.

Sometimes I wonder how it would have turned out if he stayed at PG.

Wade also played PG that same rookie year in Miami.

Both were effective PG's as Rookies.
