I did not know anyone that owned one until they were already discontinued and we were selling them for 50 bucks at the store I was working at at the time.

I never bought one.

Of course I only knew 1 person who owned a damn Saturn either, and I lived in a pretty wealthy town at the time(I was fukking poor, but it is in Fairfield County, CT so you know the wealthy outnumber the destitute overall)

I remember walking by EB Games and seeing the NFL 2K demo playing on the screen. I damn near fainted when I saw them graphics.

I ended up using a birthday and X-mas combined just to get that piff system. Loaded up on NFL 2K, Crazy Taxi, NBA 2K. Eventually Powerstone 2, Jet Set Radio, Metropolis Street Racer (Project Gotham) made it's way to the collection. So many classics

Sega really messed up with that security and lack of DVD.

It could have competed...The PS2 had a pretty weak launch and the dreamcast had an impressive library at that time. Max Payne was about to be released and I think there is a finish version of Half-Life for it.

Too bad, it was a great console for its short run it had.

Also hurt by
- Lack of EA Games
-Lack of a good wrestling sim(wrestling was still huge)
-PS2 got GTA3& Vice City while dreamcast got a port of GTA2
