shyt like this is gonna continue to happen especially for the unskilled worker :whoa: I know plenty of people who think they balling cause they got a warehouse or construction job

Warehouse jobs are probably one of the safer industries you can be in. Logistics will always be a necessity.

but I believe capitalism will ultimately make whatever concessions it needs to make in order to sustain itself.

That's what it will come down to, and the main reason it will happen is because "you know who" will be the ones being fukked over then. It's all good when it doesn't affect you :sas2:

Vote Republican /against your best interest
Vote Democrat/against your best interest.

They will keep you poor as long as you are happy with your welfare check. There are thousands of people who are second and third generation welfare recipients. They learned from their parents that when you are old enough, you sign up for welfare and get a free check. There is no mindset to achieve higher as long as you receive the bare minimum. The Democratic party is always supporting welfare programs, so the poor think they are great.
Think about it. How many welfare recipients plan to get out of the welfare program and move up? How many welfare recipients plan to stay on welfare? Most align with the second idea and will support the political party that will allow them to retain that income level.

shyt like this only further convinces me that a universal minimum income is closer than we think. It'll be fought tooth and nail by moneyed interests, but I believe capitalism will ultimately make whatever concessions it needs to make in order to sustain itself.

doubt thatll happen but some kind of tax needs to come into play for these companies who sell products to americans but outsource their labor to other countries. Thats the easiest, quickest and maybe best fix for this

I believe it was Bill Clinton who kicked the move jobs to Mexico into over drive.
Surprise surprise...People blaming the GOP and Bill Clinton, a Democrat, supported NAFTA.
1993
NAFTA signed into law
The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is signed into law by President Bill Clinton. Clinton said he hoped the agreement would encourage other nations to work toward a broader world-trade pact.

NAFTA signed into law - Dec 08, 1993 - HISTORY.com

Two decades later, Hillary Clinton is still haunted by the ghosts of NAFTA.

Labor unions and liberal activists are preparing to highlight free trade — an issue central to Bill and Hillary Clinton's political brand in the early 1990s — if she opts to run for president in 2016.

Driving their anger: The Trans-Pacific Partnership, a massive new pact that that would usurp the Clinton-era North American Free Trade Agreement's place as the biggest-ever free trade agreement. President Barack Obama's administration has been negotiating the Chile-to-Japan deal for years, and it's increasingly drawing scrutiny from the Democratic base as the talks near completion.

The new deal has reminded labor halls across the country of the old one — and that it was their biggest problem with the Clintons.

Compounding the problem is that free trade, particularly NAFTA, is an issue that Clinton has vacillated on since her husband's administration.

Can Hillary Clinton step out of Bill's NAFTA shadow? - CNNPolitics.com

Jobs going south is the fault of the Democrats.

That's capitalism.

It's basically a system that keeps searching for the cheapest labor to maximize profits.

And one day they will leave Mexico for some place cheaper.

And when quasi-socialists like Bernie Sanders (or to a lesser degree, Noam Chomsky) says that the workers should own a stake in the companies they help build, we call them evil communists.

:coffee:
Right. These American CACs can't have it both ways.
