In Philly, mothers used to get scared for their sons off 1 little fight. Nowadays, that "fight" is on the operating table if you're lucky
I was thinking the same thing. The average rappers doesn't care about the community, which is why they rap about a bunch of shyt that destroys the community (Selling drugs, getting minors to do their crimes, the type of guns that ppl should get, etc). Those "switches" that have been popularized is going to cause the mass shooting number to go up drastically.
Any song rapping about switches needs to be banned from the radio or youtube.

Can anyone e from Philly and/or the surrounding metro area shed light to what's going on out there? Why is there a high number of violence out there?
I know @Leasy is from there. Stay safe breh. Situation is messed up and was bad last weekend as well.

And why would the government be so charitable? Have they ever been? There is no government conspiracy, new world order none of that bullshyt, some of the nikkas in here are straight comedy...hell, Philly ain't even got gangs like that; they have blocks...you rep your block.
Umar said it and as someone who used to live in Philly and indulge in the fukkery myself, it's a fukked up culture of violence in Philly and some nikkas need to be put down for good. Interpret that however you wanna.
I used to hang out on south street in the 2000's, The Reef, Copa's, Fat Tuesday's, Ishkibbles is my favorite cheesesteak spot in the city. It's a decent spot to hang out at, but it also attracts a lot of kids...back in the day you would have the occasional fight, but it's different now and it's across the country, nikkas is shooting with no regard in the nice and touristy spots now. As bad as the city has always been, 14 people getting shot on South Street is not something that would've happened on South Street 15 years ago.
Some people have to go away for good, there is no other solution. I'm all for more gun control, but I guarantee this was done by some nutass 18-30 year olds with illegal guns. I know because I ran with people who used to be on that type time back in the day. We got into it with people who were on this type time back in the day.
Until the police step up and put a hard clamp on things, and the government and companies in the city provide hope for decent opportunities and a future, you just gonna continue to have a bunch of lost wayward nikkas who are ready to pull a trigger because you looked at them wrong.
I can't speak on the black expat community since I'm not black. But I too have seriously considered emigrating. shyt is getting worse and worse in this country. Can live cheaper and more peacefully elsewhere. The US isn't as good as it used to be and who knows if it ever will be again. I too have seen more and more people posting on social media about emigrating to other countries and building nice homes there. Definitely interested in doing that one day.Is anyone else looking into emigrating and black ex pat communities in other parts of the world to settle into? I've seen more discussion and advice videos on how to leave. Seriously considering it.

I cosign everything you say, but when you got blocks from different parts of the city cliqued up and at war with an opposing side.... its basically gang violence at this point. There is no government conspiracy, new world order none of that bullshyt, some of the nikkas in here are straight comedy...hell, Philly ain't even got gangs like that; they have blocks...you rep your block.

They hate you tho. They hate us. They will never do right by us. This is biblical.I'm not sure i understand your question. Governments are in place to sustain society. I'm not saying they have to do anything above and beyond what they are doing now. It's been this violent before. Murder rates in the 70s-90s were here or worse, the difference was the social contract was different. You might not end up rich in this life, but at least you could get a job that paid a livable wage.
Or Americans are shooting each other because of easy access to weapons of mass destruction. fukk is wrong with some of you b*stards. We need gun control![]()
