Is it the city of the state that's responsible for roads in Mississippi?
Depends on the where roads are I believe. But cities have less money if the state doesn’t give them the revenues, Jackson is the most populous city in the state so they should be getting the lion share of the money except that the white population moved just outside the city limits.

Its more about where the state allocates money. You won’t see this in Starkville around Mississippi State or at ole Miss. They make sure those affluent white areas get their mohey.

I’m trying to figure out why this government can send $10 Billion to UKKKraine every two weeks, but can’t provide drinkable water to the residents of Jackson Mississippi. If state corruption is the issue, the Feds should step in.
:jbhmm:

We shouldn’t have to come out of our pockets for anything. Our tax dollars that we already pay should be utilized in helping these people, as opposed to fighting another racist and corrupt cac country’s wars (that they’ll inevitably lose, by the way).

And sent 10 billion to Tawian

With the way these backwards ass red states operate, they would likely not accept fed money. Especially since its mostly black folks that will suffer. Cut the nose to spite the face, per the norm
