I bought a 2010 Silverado 4 door back in 2012 for 10k. Dude wanted to sell it because he was getting divorced and didn't want his wife to end up with it. I had him come with me to the DMV and had a mechanic for a test drive with me before I put the money in his hand.

It was on a rental so he was on a deadline. He anticipated any concerns and beat them to the punch. Most people aren’t car savvy.
