It means talking about an injury is all excuses.

He came back after the injury, styled on some players and told the world "IM BACK"

Can't then fall back and claim his injury was the reason for his poor play.

Yes he did. Steph never looked the same during the playoffs.

Cleveland played better defense than other teams, dont get me wrong, but dude was clearly not the same.

Teams got physical with him and he struggled. There was never a time when he was limping, or slow coming up the court.

His game was/is never about taking people in the dribble. He always gets screens, or does what he did with love at the end of game 7. He was just missing shots, that's it.

That play on Love would have been called a "signature amazing play" by Steph had he made it. But since he missed it, people claiming he was hurt

He literally did a split on national television and missed 6 1/2 games in the middle of the postseason due to injuries. People didn't even know if he would return for the postseason at all with the way that injury looked

Had he not hurt himself (especially as a guy with a long injury history), people would not be making the surgery claims. It's that simple
