Some of These school districts can barely keep actual classes up and running. There’s just nowhere near the funds to run thorough physicals, but real physicals involving at the very least basic heart testing should be required for the parents to take their kids to outside clinics, not just some Walgreens minute clinic shyt. At least get an EKG to see if there’s anything irregular. Those tests are quick, and the cheapest way to diagnose a lot of heart issues. But most folks are stubborn, or just flat out don’t bother with doctors until something happens. You’d be stunned how many people neglect the yearly preventative physicals and they are almost always free thru any insuranceI was told by a doctor that heart defects ( enlarged heart or a hole ) from birth aren’t as uncommon as people think, it’s just not something that gets examined and most people aren’t going to be in a situation where they’re playing high level sports for this type of thing to happen
shyt sucks but the reality of it is that it isn’t diagnosed as much as it should be because it isn’t a cheap test to perform and when you ask “well why didn’t they find this out beforehand?” You have to ask who is gonna foot the bill because all it boils down to is money at the end of the day
