This is directly on bernie sanders and his moronic cult like following who keep telling black people to stop playing ''identity politics'' meaning shut up about race. These pieces of shyt believe that class is more important than race and that if everyone was financially equal race would not be a problem in society. How many times have rich millionaires blacks who are atheltes, buisnessmen harassed by the cops or called the n word? It is that idiot sanders that keeps saying the democrats should pander to the ''working class'' meaning racist blue collar whites who voted trump, this is who these man wants democrats and liberals to bend the knee to. This people dont give a damn about class, they just need to believe they are superior to the black man no matter how their own life is. They don't support minimum wage increase because they believe those lazy negroes dont deserve that money for walking at mcdonalds. This is the mindset of these demons and morons are still caping for bernie sanders and his our revolution bs. Give trump voters all the free health-care and free college and they will never vote for you as long as you speak out against any form of racism.

So what you are saying is Establishment Dems are not racist while Progressives are? :francis:

I don't think many Black people would buy that brand. And not concentrating on identity politics is a strategy, not that the concerns of identity politics are not real.

To keep it 100, when an American politician (anywhere on the political spectrum, Republican, Democrat, whatever) talks about the "working class" they're specifically talking about working class white voters. That's just the way politics is in America, it is what it is.

I can understand the sentiment that politicians who use that term repeatedly are just trying to downplay racial issues so as to (theoretically) attract more white voters. Maybe it's an effective political strategy, we'll see.

Democrat identity politics is shyt like "I'm with her" or "Mi llamo es Tim Kaine."

Not the individual concerns of a race, gender, or sex in comparison to economics.

To frame it as the latter is an easy way for establishment dems to drive a wedge between those optimistic and sometimes naive white progressives and minority working class voters.
