The average price is going to be around 12 dollars a pound right now…. and oxtails are mostly bone for the most part….. That’s expensive for a cut of meat that takes a labor of love to make edible….. Sheeiittt.. I remember when lamb was cheap in the south……. I remember like 2 pounds of ox tails and 3 pounds of bacon ends adding up to like 5 or 6 dollars when I used to shop with one my grandmothers….. Those same cuts of oxtails would cost about 25 to 30 dollars now easily

Like I always tell da momz, once they became Tails of Oxen from white gentrification, they tripled on price. When I used to fukk with oxtails heavy, they were about $4 a pound... Was about a dollar fifty a lb back in the day
