This is a better question then some of y'all are giving it credit to be. If it's so obvious why can't anyone answer?:ld:

I know a few people who are Christians who believe in things like Black magic and that people who practice witchcraft can legitimately curse you. I was speaking with one this afternoon. And I actually admire that...I mean why would you believe the magical stuff in the Bible or other religious texts but not other types of sorcery?:yeshrug:

I don't know if there is a God/Deity or if rubbing a rabbits foot, splitting poles, not wearing 666 and few other things is true. They could all be real but I don't believe in them, I personally think they are all the same. But I know there are people on this board that do believe in some of these things so maybe they can tell me the difference:yeshrug:.

A superstition can be part of a religious practice.

That's interesting stuff fam one of my home girls who I used to go to school with was a Wiccan and she used to say some chants and read horoscopes to find a boyfriend. Then I had another home girl that was christian and she just prayed to her deity to find a man.

Yeah that's what we were discussing earlier today. Wiccans and paganism. My homegirl said her cousin is into wichcraft stuff and apparently cursed her.:skip:

hmmmm that's a good point fam, but I don't think the person who is doing the religious ritual or practice would consider it superstition right? Like would a catholic that eats the cracker and drinks the wine consider that to be superstition?

Depending on who you ask you would get a different answer

Any learned religious or sorcerer knows his practice is ritual. Not supertition, there is a difference.

In ritual, one knows there is no inherent power in the practice itself, but the symbolism. If a regular joe performs the ritual, it's nothing but 'eating crackers and drinking juice'.

But if one who has devotion and is learned performs the same, it invokes a strong symbolic event in the 'subconscious' of the ritualist, thereby having an impression on his mind and therefore his actions in the future.

Corporations exploit a basic form of this every single day.

OP is a great question.
