Class of 97 !!!
As a baby and then a kid during that timeframe, I’d say it was a good time…
1. Toonami was around during CN’s Prime… started in 97, took off in 99/00 once they got ahold of DBZ.
The anime boom that started with Pokemon. Digimon was my shyt though.
2. The music was still good..BET was bananas as a kid. I used to watch Rap City with Uncle every afternoon since he came home from prison.
3. Movies were definitely poppin off as well. Blade saved Marvel which led to many successes after that. X-Men put them back on the map and they haven’t looked back since. Those two movies are the reason that we got Black Panther as well.
4. Kids could still play outside and not have to worry about getting shot at. Even the street dudes kept shyt clean for the kids
