I remember this very well.

I wanted that Nintendo 64 and there was a world wide shortage on those things.

My mom and dad told me I might have to settle for a PlayStation, so I was like cool. I was a teenager at this time so I wasn’t tripping. I was just thankful for what I was getting.

I get up Christmas morning and we opening gifts and I open my last gift and have no PlayStation or N64.

I was like well I guess I didn’t get neither. A few minutes went by and my mom told me to check the laundry room. Sitting there in the laundry room was a brand new N64 in a very nice gift bag with an extra controller and several games I wanted.

She told me later the only reason her my dad was able to get it is I put my name on a waiting list at GameStop and they just so happened to call them and tell them they were holding one for me.

I was prepared to :to: hear your heartbeat ending but got a happy ending instead.

:salute: at your parents.

Yeah, you tripping, trolling, or are just being slow, :stopitslime:

Nah, back in the day when most TVs weren't even HD, N64 was the better party console.
  • Mario Kart 64
  • Perfect Dark
  • Super Mario 64
  • Ocarina of Time
  • Super Smash Bros.
  • Star Fox 64
  • Pokemon Stadium
  • Mario Party 1-3
  • GoldenEye 007
Playstation wasn't on Nintendo's level til PS2 dropped and killed GameCube.

went from

Writing down all the useful codes on a sheet of notebook paper

then graduated to ripping out pages

then I said fukk it and put them shyts on the bottom of the grocery cart under the a case of beer or soda, and they never thought to look as long as they saw us grab something from the bottom they wouldnt bother checkin :blessed:

For a kid, yeah. shyt was ridiculous if you had a semi-functional home life.

:wow: I grew up outside which is why I can’t stand to be inside now. there was only a few people in the neighborhood that had the game system so it forced you to make friends

or you just needed someone to play your super soakers with :dame:
