In one year, the offense improved a lot as a whole. Offensive line was the major factor, and the development of Alshon this year. A lot of people wanted to change the balance of the team to adjust to the modern league. Of course we got All offense this year and no defense :pachaha: Time will tell whether or not we make the necessary improvements.
We'll have the tools to improve the D this offseason.

Injuries and age hit us hard this year.

So what is it about this coach that is different this??? I know it will take time for his players to be added etc... But do you guys have a feel for what he is trying to accomplish??? His game day gameplan etc... All I see his Jay throwing to 6'4 receivers and Forte under used again

Lovie was stubborn... & eventually it cost him his job... he refused to answer questions & refused to make changes. Jamarcus Webb cost Cutler at least 2-3 sacks a week it seemed & couldn't block worth a damn & what does Lovie do? NOTHING. Jamarcus Webb allowed a sack in the first pre-season game & was BENCHED... then a week later his salary was cut in half & finally cut from the team because he was garbage & our line play improved greatly this season. Our Offense can actually move the ball unlike Lovie's & also Trestman has addressed at least 1 or 2 issues a week to the public and has shown signs that he is willing to do whats necessary to try to win unlike Lovie who stayed stuck in his ways & refused to use our weapons.

Emery has already said the Bears will focus 100% on Defense in the upcoming draft & during the offseason. Lovie only ever gave a shyt about Defense & was content on letting weapons like Forte, Marshall & Jeffrey waste away their potential. Trestman has a system that even Brian fukking Palmer looked decent in.

I'm glad Lovie is gone & Trestman is a breathe of fresh air & to be honest we should've never been in the playoff race to begin with... he's done a lot to field such a trash ass Defense...

People just felt it was time to move on :manny: Like I said, time will tell if things improve, but are people really gonna be riding for Lovie 5 years from now if we don't win a super bowl?

nikka THE OLINE WAS HORRIBLE DURING THE WHOLE CUTLER ERA.
THE OFFENSE WAS NEVER GONNA BE shyt WITH THAT O-LINE.
HE JUST GOT RECEIVING TARGETS LAST YEAR...
NOTHING WAS GONNA CHANGE?

nikka HE GOT TO 2 NFC TITLE GAMES
AND A SUPER BOWL.

fukk OUTTA HERE.

THAT RESUME ALONE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN HIM A FAIR SHAKE
LET ALONE A 10-6 SEASON.

HE SHOULDNT HAVE GOTTEN FIRED UNTIL WE SUCKED.

He missed the playoffs 3 straight years we started hot there is no reason we should have missed the playoffs last season. That is on everybody he was lucky he survived last year under a new GM. In most cases he would have been fired before last season. Your points about the offense are true. Can you explain why our D has been piss poor for 2 seasons now? He had all the power in terms of his staff and some say-so in terms of draft choices he made piss poor decisions point blank. He was a very good defensive coach with piss poor game management it was justified.

Uncertain grounds
Tom Coughlin, the guy that's coached the Giants to 2 Super Bowl wins?

For years everyone was talking about firing Coughlin in NY. Even after the first SB win..then they snuck into the playoffs and won another SB. The Giants were right to keep him, and the Jaguars probably would have been better off with him as well.

Lovie = Jeff Fisher's resume and Fisher got basically two decades before he could get fired by the Titans.

That being said I like Trestman :manny:
