breh...you sounding like Slaimon - lite ......... ....if that's the case, under your rules/assumptions ....might as well tear down the Wailing Wall and put a Walgreens in its place, drain the Dead Sea and make it a water park, dismantle the Temple of the Rock and put a football stadium there....... I'm no Bible - phile...but I don't think the Bible said anything about those being preserved either....

I cringed at that too..... hell Muslims have destroyed historic Islamic landmarks in Mecca itself, with no shiits given based on the "no idol" worship...................which apparently means if anybody finds something historically interesting, it needs to be discarded ...... its just crazy to me....... Timbuktu got that work a few months back...... and this talk in Egypt regarding the Pyramids is frightening...... folks is wild..

Its all meaningless and eventually becomes buried or Dust! Dont hold onto the past because in time, most things are forgotten. How much do you remember about Sumerian culture. Im not saying its good that these monuments are being destroyed im saying having an emotion attachment to a structure with no spiritual value, is meaningless.
