Yea that’s just one I never agreed with. I’m sure I been wrong on plenty of acquisitions, but I never saw the vision with this one. One of my best friends is from Milwaukee, and I even had to ask them wtf they were thinking when it happened. As soon as I saw the Boston rumors I knew that was gonna get ugly for the east

My hopes were the best version of that pairing would be a mesh of two different styles, Giannis with his gravity at the rim and Dame with his gravity behind the 3pt line. Problem with Dame is he doesn't move much off the ball to kinda get the defense off their square enough for it to work at its best. Giannis also doesn't set the best screens for him either. shyt just failed all around.

Damn was literally just about to post that Banchero needs to hit up Melo and beg him to lock in at a gym with him this summer

I just saw him get bodied by Pritchard who he couldn’t beat off the dribble or use his size

He needs a consistent post game where he can just kill guys in that little area in and around the key that Melo flourished in

He’s too big and talented not to be getting 25-30 in his sleep and exploding for 40-50 point games

Still very young though so I think he’ll get there. Very similar scoring progression to Melo by year 3 (both averaged 26) but Melo jumped to 29 by year 4 and was damn near unstoppable at that point
