Is it that easy to start a trade? How about carpentry?
most trades are unionized and have apprenticeship programs...a lot of times its just an age thing...its better to start when ur young cuz u not really gonna make bread for a couple years...most ppl want sexy jobs...trades aint sexy...thats y the bar for entry is lower...plus its manual labor...most ppl want easy checks...only reason I know bout it is cuz I was talking to the buillding engineer at one of my gigs bout dumb shyt and I just randomly asked him how he got into it...

How difficult is it driving a truck ? And is it hard to get the cdl?
:yeshrug: Easy as sh1t once you get the hang of it like anything else. I went to a community college and paid for my license out of pocket years ago.

I’m a Hustla :smugbiden: I have a full time job m-f. I manage a restaurant 3 or 4 nights a week and sometimes before my mon-fri or after I leave the bar I Drive uber. :win: I don’t own a bmw but I am a black man working (BMW):myman: I listen to Dave Ramsey I got no debt, cars paid off I have 6 months emergency fund saving for retirement and more than 20% to put down on a crib. Pay for everything in the great words of the Hall of Famer Randy Moss “Straight cash homey”. Get rid of credit cards THEY using it to hold us down. You dont need to have mutiple jobs forever but we have to get ahead some how.

I'd advise against this if you plan on making a large purchase that you'll end up having to finance in the future. If you know how to use credit cards correctly then they are advantages to using them over a debit card.

Just use them like a debit card and pay them off every month.

How young is young? How old is too old ?To be honest I would laugh at any one with a shytty low paying degree job if I have a career and making good money as a tradesman.

I still wanna finish my degree tho, think I could do both trade and degree?

I worked two full time jobs and went to school at one point. Worked everyday for about six months. I went to the first from 6am-2pm and the second 230 to 930. The days in the week that I only have to work one job, I went to school afterwards. The money is great, but you'll never have time to really enjoy it, it will take a toll on your social life as well, I didn't hang out with anybody. All in all though, just get a better job, The job I work now pays better then when I was working both. Although I cant get overtime.

I did it when my wife was pregnant so she could stay home.

:manny:

I would strongly advise you not to do it unless you have the stamina and/or the jobs aren't dealing with the same type of issues or you'll get burned-out REAL quick.

As another poster said, find a job that has overtime and milk it. You have to have some time to wind-down and if you spend all your time working, you won't really be able to live.....only survive.

Young like teens-early to mid twenties..u don't make that much as an apprentice...once u done with that then u start cakin...u got be an apprentice for a couple years before u go out on ur own..too old I would say is 30's just because ur responsibilities are different plus u got grown man bills...don't quote me on it tho cuz I'm sure some bruhs got in trades late and doing well for themselves.. far as doing both...u need to prioritize which one is more important...cuz u could apprentice during the day and take classes at night..that's a decision u would have to make...don't know ur circumstances...
