it happens so fast and if the receiver is crafty/smart they wait til the last bit of time to go for the catch so the defender doesnt even know its coming til its too late.

they should consider changing the rule for under thrown balls cause it allows for easy flops

It's tough...you get tripped up with your feet, sometimes it's b/c you're a step behind and you're trying to catch up. I played CB my freshman year but was moved to Saftey b/c of shyt like this I had great hands tho and could get picks

Its really hard to maintain your speed / balance and tight coverage when you look back but you’re supposed to use the receiver’s body motion as a tell for when to play the ball

Not as easy as you think. The problem is the timing. You don’t know when to turn back because you turn back too soon and they get even more separation.

Also your taught that if your beat just fukk it and force the ref to call the flag which is better than giving up a touchdown. And that guy defending was a linebacker so it’s just a mismatch
