The tracks are dope and they compliment eachother well. Yall gotta stop wit all this extreme dikkriding yall be doing.Hearing these it's pretty apparent why it didn't work. Kendrick doing all the heavy lifting......These tracks feel more like Coles bag than Kendricks. Which tells me Kenny was probably holding back to let Cole keep pace. Dot prolly realized this would only hinder his growth long term. And he was right. Tracks are mid.
Cole is better right now from a pure rapping standpoint. Back then Kendrick was better but not like nikkas tryna make it in here.Just from a strictly rapping ability pov, Cole and Kendrick are pretty close today
But back then in the Section 80/Friday Night Lights Era…around the time these were recorded..the gap in rapping ability was huge in Kendrick’s favour
This was my most anticipated release at one point, but in hindsight this would of done Cole no favours
These guys like Akademiks, YN, DJ HED, and Budden acting like middlemen or unofficial spokespeople for artists is getting corny. It’s not even clear if the artists co-sign what they say. Instead of letting rappers speak for themselves, they’re making it more about their own take.Dj Hed already said there will never be a kendrick x cole collab, Kendrick doesn't want to be associated with him anymore, so most likely won't give permission for official releases.

I mean Kendrick is still much better when he wants to, regardless of Cole's progression. I really doubt he wants a collab album with him coming out, specially since Cole is still very limited as an artist.Just from a strictly rapping ability pov, Cole and Kendrick are pretty close today

Yeah even Temptation is meh tbh... With that being said, that kind of music would be a highlight for Cole's career, but definitely a lowlight for Kendrick...Hearing these it's pretty apparent why it didn't work.
