The first two are from everland, the head keeper there said the lions dominated everland for 10 years...and the last one is from the clyde beatty film:

{1933}

The Bigcage fight, 5 different news sources report the tiger died after
the hose was spraying. 3 male tigers died in the making of the scene.
Note the image on the lower right shows a lion with a death grip on a tiger.

1st fight, Sultan the lion kills a wild tiger named Tommy:

The first fight in the Bigcage actually gave the advantage to the tiger. Beatty allowed for the tiger to jump the lion by surprise.The lion did not see the tiger, it was focused on attacking Beatty instead.The tiger chosen, was untamed, wild, it had never been in the cage with a lion nor in Beatty's act. The untamed tiger was chosen on purpose so that a good fight would ensue for the film.

Most of the movie stars watching the first fight, bet on the tiger. But, Beatty noted the tiger always commits itself hanging on first where ever it can grab hold. The lion appears to not commit itself to the hold first, but only commits itself if its able to bite a vital area.

2nd Fight, Caesar the lion, kills Bobby the tiger.

This is Caesar the lion below, he has a belly mane, not the same lion we see which
is shown in the 3rd fight. The tiger on the right is Bobby, which Caesar killed, again
this fight is not shown on film.

The 3rd fight, is the fight we see on film. After the hose was spraying, the lion killed the male tiger.
Several news sources below report this, the tiger was bitten through the kidney.

More evidence the 3rd male tiger was killed after the hose was spraying. Under the
column "observations" and title "bits about film here and coming." The article says the
studio reported the tiger was killed after the hose was spraying. Which is not shown on film.

Clyde Beatty is not only an entertainer, he is also a scientist, a competent zoologist,
an explorer and an adventurer. Braving African, Indian and Malayan jungles;
braving
fever, disease and even death, the animal trainer, — along with scientist and explorers en-
gaged in research, — helps to broaden science frontiers in the 'dark lands". When not
employed with the cracking whip and the protective chair, he ventures forth to faraway
lands, searching for young beasts to supply the wire "prison", and searching for other
animals to be sent to zoos and museums.

Even the highest psi you listed for a lion (which is over 2x the average) is still lower than a gorillas bite strength.

And a gorillas greatest strength is not their incredible bite strength, it's the hands.

Those forearms are not for show. A gorilla would break a lions skull with his hands

I dont see how...I posted lions crushing the skulls, breaking necks, shattering the spines with his strength in striking on 3 hyenas, 1 leopard, 1 jaguar, decapitating 1 puma, 2 tigers, 2 lions, 6 black, brown and grizzly bears, 4 zebras, 2 donkeys, 1 horse, 4 oxen and buffalos, and 2 giant elands with alot more too all here:

(bottom of the page)
Lion vs Silverback Gorilla: who would win?

The gorilla breaking the glass was more of his entire body weight at high speeds than just using his hands as a striking weapon, which you havnt shown any skull or body broken on any animal by the ape, just assumptions, theres a difference. And according to the bone density chart, lions have bones just as dense as larger kodiak bears with some areas in the body even densar:
"Limb bone density and aquatic habitats" - Google Search

The lion both strikes harder and has densar bones, so if any one is haveing there skull cracked its the gorilla, not the lion...I dont think gorillas have stronger bite strength...but some actual proof would be good, not this gorillas eat bamboo, so that means its like 10 million psi...lol Even tiny panda bears eat bamboo, a human being can slap it on the ground and break it.

Lions - More speed, more weapons (claws, teeth)
VS
Gorilla - More brains, more strength

So if you equate this to MMA it would be like a younger fighter with more athletic ability vs an more experienced older fighter. Anytime I see a match up like this I would pick the stronger wiser fighter but I always give a chance of a KO for the younger one.
