2 mixes unreleased Mac Casper song can tell which one was recorded on $10,000 mic + mixed on the SSL

Its not that I dont like your song per say ... but I thought the mastering was pretty bad on both of them

Alright. I agree with you on both fronts.

If you just engineer the recording without taking any account for audio - you can have the absolute best equipment that the world has to offer (I set out to replicate Dr. Dre's chain) and you won't end up with anything special, that one actual sounds like a demo.

Then the other one I give it a B- to B+ and this is because you don't leave a mastering job in the hands of the mix engineer. 1. They are partial. 2. they are doing it on the same equipment

Big ass difference. And i dont know shyt about mixing, but i could tell right away the sec one was a 10 rack mic.

Really? . . until you posted this I didn't realize that I haven't listened to these in years. The song brings back a time in my life that I'm grateful to of learned from, to say the least.
