I re-watched the series a few months back. I couldn't believe how funny some of it was. I don't remember thinking of it being funny during its initial run.
There's so much humor just in their casual dialogue:
Tony: He killed 16 Czechoslovakians...he was with the interior ministry.
Paulie: He killed 16 Czechoslovakians, he was an interior decorator.
Chris: His house looked like shyt.
I hate that I love this cac ass show. It's wild cuz the Sopranos is one of them things that stirs up nostalgic childhood shyt with me. I watched it with my pops from the the Pilot on and never stopped. That was our thing. Pizza and Sopranos on Sunday night. Later on the Wire. But I've seen it probably 5 times all the way thru since then because it was also really a good show. Like the intervention scene still makes me crack up. When Silvio does his part till the end I lose it.
