Glorifying Pac for his work ethics and recording albums in a few days,
Plus glorifying BIG/Jay for their none-pen-writing technique got us to a generation of rappers that are proud that they dont spend any effort improving their writing nor their recordings and therefore quality is so bad...

I rather hear about rappers working hard, spending months improving and coming out with a classic.

No disrespect to the Goats, unfortunately cats just aren't in their level

IIRC, people that were in the studio noted that Pac kept saying things like "Yo, if we dont get this music out now, I'll be a dead man! Who knows I might die tomorrow so let's work" , things like that.
Pac been obsessed with death, I'd believe it.

^ a few posts up

the difference in writing fast because you are actually nice

and lying about "not writing my shyt down and just going in"

is completely different... there's a reason why not writing it down, only comes out with an album every 2-3 years
same with how battle rappers write their shyt and then remember it for 3 months ... its a gimmick to look cool

work and results speak for themselves, this thread is a perfect example. It did fukk up most kids so you're right but alot of that was Lil Wayne
who does 4-6 lines and punches in over and over. Wayne was good and made it cool to go off about random bullshyt, but he did it with wit and flavor...
these kids just want to look spontaneous and hip.

I dont think what Pac did is extraordinary at all really, he was just doing his job and he had the capability to deliver. Most rappers NEED to get into the fukking studio and actually be rappers. Especially if you're surrounded by beats anyways, its your only job so how could you not do it?

Such an amazing album. Pacs albums thematically have always been his life in the moment on wax, check:

2Pacalypse Now = These are my roots, this is my identity. I'm trying to find which me is me, artistically and literally.
Strictly 4 My nikkaZ = I really, really, really don't like the cops. fukk the cops. Signed Mr fukk A Cop.
Me Against The World = Life is moving faster than I planned and I can't keep up with it any more. Send more drugs.
All Eyez On Me = I'm back! I'm free! I'm rich! Its a celebration, bytches! Everyones invited, drinks on me. Come drop a verse.
Makaveli = The hangover, sitting in the mess alone with the lights off, wondering about the cost of whats been and yet to come.

Whichever way you slice its its like this dude was born to be a legend and leave the game the way he did because there has never been any other artist I can think of in any genre that constantly evolved his art with each album nor was as prolific as he was profound because his throwaway cuts have more replay value than most rappers entire catalogues.

Makaveli alone has some of the illest subject matter, rhyme schemes and flows I've ever heard and Pacs voice was so dope he made those Wack Room beats shine like iced out gold. Throw in the videos at the time, his prophetic rhymes, how new boots flooded the streets week after week and everything else... It was a crazy time to witness in the flesh as Pac went out just as the digital days were starting to rise and yet still rode the new trend because he was simply that ahead of the curve, even in death, as he was delivering new content all the way to fit the new model that still hadn't been created.

You are right my G

But 'Pac had unbelieveable talent first and foremost

That's why rappers since Lil' Wayne have tried to emulate 'Pac's work eithic but did not have even 10% of his talent
You're overstepping here breh.

So 2 weeks = 14 days.

So 2 tracks per day = 28 tracks.
So 2 tracks per day
So he averaged 1 track every 12 hours over a period of 14 days.:ehh:

Thats impressive but i can do and have done a track in 1 hour several times. :wow:

The difference is, after that one track, I am definitely done for the day if not the entire week, and plus no one is impressed by my tracks anyway, whereas pac is loved worldwide and all eyex on me is a classic that will be listened to forever. :mjcry:

Cool story, I’m sure he was efficient and probably got his first verses down but by nature of his style he doubles his vocals so he likely recorded each verse multiple times
