Such an amazing album. Pacs albums thematically have always been his life in the moment on wax, check:
2Pacalypse Now = These are my roots, this is my identity. I'm trying to find which me is me, artistically and literally.
Strictly 4 My nikkaZ = I really, really, really don't like the cops. fukk the cops. Signed Mr fukk A Cop.
Me Against The World = Life is moving faster than I planned and I can't keep up with it any more. Send more drugs.
All Eyez On Me = I'm back! I'm free! I'm rich! Its a celebration, bytches! Everyones invited, drinks on me. Come drop a verse.
Makaveli = The hangover, sitting in the mess alone with the lights off, wondering about the cost of whats been and yet to come.
Whichever way you slice its its like this dude was born to be a legend and leave the game the way he did because there has never been any other artist I can think of in any genre that constantly evolved his art with each album nor was as prolific as he was profound because his throwaway cuts have more replay value than most rappers entire catalogues.
Makaveli alone has some of the illest subject matter, rhyme schemes and flows I've ever heard and Pacs voice was so dope he made those Wack Room beats shine like iced out gold. Throw in the videos at the time, his prophetic rhymes, how new boots flooded the streets week after week and everything else... It was a crazy time to witness in the flesh as Pac went out just as the digital days were starting to rise and yet still rode the new trend because he was simply that ahead of the curve, even in death, as he was delivering new content all the way to fit the new model that still hadn't been created.
