You said he was a studio thug which implies he was JUST a G in the studio, but he did things that are factual in real life. He wasn't a coward or a studio thug. He wasn't Al Capone either.... But there's a middle ground. He was a powerful brother though because he had a lot of soldiers.
I don't think we factually know why he was murdered. But a lot of people feel it was over money.
When I say studio thug I mean playing both sides of the field. As I said with BIG what he said in his music, you wouldn't hear him contradicting himself in an interview or on the street. It was the same person all the time.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Just because you were born in the 90's or whenever really doesn't mean you can't have an opinion on music. How far you research and delve defines how credible the opinion is. I wasn't old enough during the BDP era to remember it but KRS is in my top 2, not because of no media push but because of music. I went back and checked the albums I missed. If people did that and feel Pac was best then so be it. It's true some people may be influenced by his status but you can say that about most people that were mainstream. But the people LOVED Pac's music also, it was NOT merely image. People loved Pac's music, his joints bumped and were enjoyed all round in various environments.
I already put on the other thread that Ye's music as a whole is better. so...

the worst part about it is, the comparison isn't even worthy. you just placed one of the goats up against someone who hasn't even wrote a majority of his own music. at least compare kanye to another producer cause anyone with knowledge knows he doesn't even belong in the same category with 2pac. on top of that, his best album, whatever you may think it is(college dropout imo), isn't better than any of 2pac's best. basically what i'm saying is, he doesn't have him beat from an mc or discography position so it's absolutely no point to this. i get why you did this tho rule.

Pac was the closest thing this music platform has ever reached to truly speaking on, helping and soothing the pain of Young Black America.
Problem with Pac was that he went too left with all that "Thug" gangster nonsense. If he continued going down the path he set up with MATW he would of been one of the greatest musicans of ALL TIME in any genre.
Kanye not even better than Nas. All Kanye really did to the genre was make it more accessible and relatable to Middle America.
