I feel that if albums like Thug Life, S4MN, 2Pacalype Now are classics than God's Son, Life is Good, Hip Hop is Dead is a classic. American Gangster and Black Album are also classics feel me? It takes more than being a good album to be a classic.
You really don't have College Dropout as a classic? It has the critical acclaim, classic tracks like Jesus Walks and Last Call, great features (Common, Mos Def, Twista, Ludacris, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z), takes on political themes, personal problems, religion, materialism, etc., very soulful album, I enjoyed Kanye's MCing (never forget the punchline "mayonnaise colored Benz, I push miracle whips" shyt had mepushing rewind). This album is credited with beginning the destruction of the gangsta persona in hip hop and guys like J.Cole claim it as an influence.
I got Thug Life as a classic yes. I also got God's Son as a classic. None of the rest personally. Even though they are all good albums. I like College Dropout a lot, if it ain't classic it's close, I think I have it as a 4.5 mic album in my mind. I love joints like Through The Wire, Never Let Me Down, Get Em High even, I really like that album. I can understand it being called classic and have no issue with that, it just isn't QUITE there for me personally i don't think. But that's just an opinion, I recognize it's a very good album and I've always been a fan of it and Kanye from day one. He was a breathe of fresh air when he came out, cause of the production and the vibe he was first on, he wasn't the best lyricist at all but his production was excellent. I'm not sure the album has aged amazingly though, I still like and feel it but I don't really listen to it the whole way through. Wasn't a big fan of Workout Plan. I really fukked with Last Call and Family Business though. It's a very good album and possibly Kanye's best to me. I'm a fan of that album, Kanye kind of let me down after Graduation though... even though he's still very talented, and even Graduation to me was a bit of a drop off quality wise. Yeah I salute Kanye for the album, he did his thing and nothing but props and respect for it. Wish he'd do an album on a similar vibe or something.
Kanye's not winning it lol.... most respected heads would say Pac though. That's just the truth, if you like Kanye better too, but can't act like Pac ain't even in his league lol.

Kanye made better albums, switched his sound several times without sounding corny, had a bigger impact on hip-hop, and influenced 90% of the new cats in the game today

Incorrect, I'm not old. How old are you out of curiosity? I know young people that prefer Pac, infact I don't think I know ANYONE in real life that likes Kanye better. Even people I know who don't really fukk with Pac like that still have him over Kanye. Your downplaying Pac in a way that suggests you haven't fully heard his music, he was far more than just what you said. Have you heard all of Pac's work? Honestly? And ok if you prefer Kanye's albums that's cool. He didn't have a bigger impact on Hip Hop as an artist than Pac though lmao, that's crazy lol. He had an impact on production though.
