India has almost the same population as China, and they are filthy as fukk but even they are
Say what you like but Indians would never eat centipedes, that's their primary difference. I'd bet the house on that.
Some tribal populations in India eat the eggs of red ants. Make some sort of chilli sauce out of them. I saw a Gordon Ramsay show where he stays with them and eats their ant egg sauce, he actually liked it
Now obviously these people are hunter-gatherers with basically no connection to modern life, and no connection to the thousands of years of history and culture of Indian civilization, so I can forgive them for that. They don't know how to farm and they haven't domesticated any animals. Living that sort of lifestyle means you can't be choosy about what you eat; anything you can get is going to be eaten or you're going to starve. Civilised Indians, I can personally vouch for: for the most part we won't even eat beef and pork, never mind anything really unusual like bats and pangolins, or anything downright

like insects.
China on the other hand has no tribal people. Basically the whole population is affluent enough that they don't have to choose between eating insects or starvation. But they still choose to eat the weirdest shyt, not out of necessity, but out of taste, and for me that's completely unforgivable.
Other cultures eat weird things too. Arabs eat camel, Mongols eat horse. But at least those are domesticated mammals, not wild animals, fukking reptiles and shyt, and insects. I don't even accept culture as a reason for Chinese to eat the shyt they do. No other cultures push it that far, so what the fukk?
