Dispear through to Patience is easily my favorite 5 song sequence in recent times. That shyt is just pure dope.

Dispear, Land Of Promise, In His Own Words, Nah Mean, Patience.

the Friends track is heavy too.

Ft. Stewart, Ga
They appeal to the conscious
The Paramount
The Cesar, the monsters
The grandiose, the matters
The hell on earth pompous
Ellsworth Bumpy Johnsons
The Harlemites the Garveyites
Black as the credit card we swipe
Poppin' Dom tonight
For all of mine
I can see myself back at the Autobahn
Malcolm on the podium
Shells drop to linoleum
Swipe those
Place 'em on display at the Smithsonian
Next to only gems
That were left behind
By holy men
Infectious
Charisma of those who gave us direction
The anti-sexes
Resistance against oppression
Progressive thinking
Ghetto speakers
Protestors against the colored
Only section to the Jena 6 and
The Frost Nixon
The contradiction
The cross the crucifixion
The loss we took for sinning
On Esau's back inscription
That it was written
That nothing is coincidence'n
They took our leaders and they lynched them

This is truthfully one of the greatest Nas verses I've ever heard. This shyt gets me:wow: EVERY TIME. People truthfully don't understand the power of intellect and the DEPTH of knowledge that Nas was displaying on Untitled and Distant Relatives. These are two of the greatest pro black Hip Hop albums ever released. These two albums are so damn intelligent I can't BELIEVE people aren't hailing them for the classics they are. I read that some people felt that Nas coasted on this album and I can't for the LIFE of me understand how that's possible with verses like this on the album. Nas and Damien really committed to coming together and saying something of IMPORTANCE with this album and they succeeded on all fronts:salute:

I agree that DR is a classic.

For NaS, Untitled, Distant Relatives and then Life is Good is a real nice progression and a very good run. They are better than Jay Z's last 3.

perfectly put. meanwhile as said by nas and damian themselves that was a watered down version and unfortunately nas will not be making music like that again.

Music is good but some of Nas's didactic smart nikka comments are cringe worthy

using didactic and then smart ngga is cringeworthy. also this ain't "edutainment" its pretty clear cut. those comments you claim are non exsistant.

exactly. applies to the ngga above this post. album is still a classic and I don't even like the lil wayne song.

This might be the realest shyt I have read on this site. I still play Untitled to this day. A lot of people don't read, or follow world events so they can't feel or relate to the topics Nasir Jones is touching on. Nas and Damien should do a Distant Relatives 2.

"America's first immigrants, the kings and daughters from our waters
The first architect, the first philosophers
Astronomers, the first prophets and the doctors were us"

:ohword: I said "smart dumb nikka" don't change the context of what I said. I understand the concept and thank you for making my point for me. It's just entertainment, but this laughable attempt at being a psuedo-anthropologist just makes Nas look like what? A smart dumb nikka. :skip:

Edit: :dwillhuh: my bad I forgot to put "smart dumb nikka" in my original post, but fukk it

distant relatives is a flawless classic probably ahead of its time and if you dissagree my guess is your ipod is full of 50 cent/future/chief keef and similar garbage lol nas spits one of the illest verses I've ever heard....

If these are the last days
And 100-foot waves come crashing down
I get some hash and pounds
Pass around the bud then watch the flood
Can't stop apocalypse
My synopsis is catastrophic
Will we survive it
If satellites is causing earthquakes
Honestly man it's the sign of the times
And the times at hand

:whew:
