album is still one of the huffest collabs from a great rapper ever.

damien having to carry nas on this whole complete album.
the album sounds like damien came to the studio.
then had to endure session after session of nas not being about shyt on this record.
this is one of the biggest exposals of nas career, ever.

one of the worst performances on a legends collab album ever.

fukk this huff ass album.....

Undeniable classic, for so many reasons.

Such a powerful, cohesive record. I was blessed to see them tear shyt up in London, what an experience.

Some of the tracks on this album actual made my body tingle. Nas + DM both brought their A game. You could tell they were in the same zone, same space, same aura. Nas being around the Marley family for so long resulted in something beautiful.

This album should have got a grammy. But at the same time, f*ck a grammy. Yup, i said in all in the same sentence.

I dont know which album is more criminally underrated - This or ****** aka untitled. What a sad state of affairs.

I could care less how i make you feel.

You seem like one negative dude, so i guess that's not entirely surprising.

It is what it is, and DL is a classic record.

You can never have a classic record and the rapper on it is horrifically offkey and offbeat the whole damn album.
Album is a two mic/star album at best.
The two stars is just for Damien Marley being a good sport to attempt to carry has for a WHOLE fukkIN ALBUM!

this is one of the worst collabs and reggae albums of all time.

Nobody cares about the rappers content.
when the rapper on it is spitting old outdated and Offkey rhymes every verse for the whole album.

nas is god awful on this record.

I notice how nobody calling it classic talks about how offkey, outdated and wack nas is on this record.
It is just a bunch, of baseless claim reviews with no actual depth or know how of reggae.
Let alone collaborative efforts.

This album if not for Marley's part.
Would be one of the worst supposed content rich rap albums of all time.

nas was scaramanga bad on this album.
That is how awful nas is.
Real talk,....
Nas is the single most overrated personality and emcee of our Gen, easy.

after illmatic, on the real and a few select choice cuts here and there.
Nas's discography ain't on a damn thang quality wise.

the bolded is the absolute. like in grindtime they say "bars over jokes" and unfortunately that is the opposite everywhere else worldwide

too bad damien/nas seen the devil and will probably never unite for an album again and I also have the feeling nas will be more "life is good" from now on. they were vague in the interview but essentially the powers that be threatened them and also forced them to water down the songs. they wanted to reference specific conditions and situations but were deterred forcefully.

never heard about that

This is truthfully one of the greatest Nas verses I've ever heard. This shyt gets me:wow: EVERY TIME. People truthfully don't understand the power of intellect and the DEPTH of knowledge that Nas was displaying on Untitled and Distant Relatives. These are two of the greatest pro black Hip Hop albums ever released. These two albums are so damn intelligent I can't BELIEVE people aren't hailing them for the classics they are. I read that some people felt that Nas coasted on this album and I can't for the LIFE of me understand how that's possible with verses like this on the album. Nas and Damien really committed to coming together and saying something of IMPORTANCE with this album and they succeeded on all fronts:salute:

You know white people are fearful of nothing more than an intelligent, conscious black populace! Hence the reason for this wack internet Nas L movement that these cacs and c00ns are pushing in a weak attempt to sully the image of Nasir the Gawd. The cacs and c00ns will have their fun, but most real nikkas know Nasir is the GOAT.:salute:

Great album. It's crazy how diverse Nas' catalog has grown.

:what:

DJ's do so play cuts from the albums in the bolded.

ive never heard blackstar spinned, but then again, ive never heard it be referred to as a classic in the real world.

not saying i agree or disagree with either of the sentiments that you 2 have towards DJ's spinning records. just pointing out the obvious. also, i dont think dude is referring to corporate DJs.

:wtf:

the f**k type of shenanigans are you people into?

Its because it's you're a cac moron without black friends. Or at least intelligent ones. Blackstar's album was a certified classic BEFORE the internet you idiot. :russ: at the concept of Blackstar only being a classic on the "fake" internet world and not the real one. :snoop:

You can't be this dumb?

Rejoice my African brethren

According to a press statement, the Damian Marley & Nas Africa Tour has been extended into June 2013. As announced earlier that the duo would be playing a concert in Ghana this March 2013, the event calendar has been postponed to a further date later this year.

Reason for the postponement is because more African countries are still bidding to book the duo (Damian Marley & Nas) for more gigs on the continent; this however, forced the team to wait and confirm all bookings for Africa before starting the whole tour.

Countries who booked earlier included South Africa, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Ghana.

The team would be playing 2 concerts in each of the mapped countries. Ghana however would be ending the chart as the last country Damian and Nas will bring the crème-de-la-crème show.

The album “Distant Relatives” rates as the highest selling Reggae album on the international market which has sold almost 5 million copies. The album when released in 2010 sold 57,000 copies in USA alone during the first week – higher than any Reggae album sold.

Damian “Junior Gong” Marley is the youngest son of legendary singer, BOB MARLEY.
