2 years later, can we admit Watch The Throne was trash?

look, we all wanted to believe. we probably lied to ourselves because of the artists involved. we wanted these 2 giants to you know, put it down like Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, or imagine what would have happened if Stevie and Marvin did an album together. but boy, this album was, is trash of the highest order.

name one song that you cannot do without from that album. is there any song that you feel has changed the world? the way you see the world? NIP is one of those dumb southern anthems but for pretentious people.

i wanna shout out Art Barr for not falling for the hype. even contrarian debbie downer Big Mel came round to the album. even he was fooled.

I think it was the album where Kanye officially fell off . we know Jay has been washed up since Kingdome Come. But Kanye? he was still rising. I dont like MBDTF but the critics all hail it as his masterpiece. but WTT is Ye's Kingdome Come.

I agree, hated that album when it dropped... none of the songs have great replay value. just proves that whatever gay-z drops gets stanned by nyc'ers and other dikkriding stans.

As a Brooklyn native the album wasnt all that but it wasn't complete trash. Murder to Excellence, Prime Time, The Joy, The Jungle, My bytch, I Got it was dope. I just think the production on it was a little out there but still good. I wouldn't call it trash. And I don't even like Jay-z that much but it was a good effort.

I think it's still a great album. A solid 4.5/5, with the potential to be looked at as a 5/5 in the next few years.

There was some trash on it though, like "Lift Off" and that dubstep crossover.
