2 years later, can we admit Watch The Throne was trash?

I agree, hated that album when it dropped... none of the songs have great replay value. just proves that whatever gay-z drops gets stanned by nyc'ers and other dikkriding stans.

It was very good album, i liked it, but overrated.

Remember when i @ ppl saying this is anything but an extravagant baller rap album with some rudimentary ''concious'' raps thrown in to not make the self gratifying overbearing. WTT coulda been Mitt Romney campaign music, ''Look how rich i am, but see me see you'' That's pretty much the theme of the album, and what (black) journalists used to defend Ye & Jay when they were coming under fire for being out of touch, few months later dubbed Romney & rethugs out of touch for their economic policy built on the same premise

So ye, good album, but not the ground breaking socially relevant work we were told it was.

An album with Murder To Excellence, NIP, No Church, Gotta Have It, Who Gon Stop Me, Primetime, and The Joy isn't trash in my book.
