2 years later, can we admit Watch The Throne was trash?

How was WTT not a classic

Two of the greatest MC's of our time teamed up on a super album

H.A.M
Gotta Have It
The Joy
Murder To Excellence
nikkas In Paris
Otis
Primetime
Who Gon Stop Me

were all :crack:

there were about 4 songs I aint really like but i still wouldn't call them horrible. Except Why I Love You & Lift Off :scusthov:

still a classic nonetheless. best believe nikkas will remember this album in the years to come

is there any song that you feel has changed the world? the way you see the world?

this is the insane standard that people hold this album to

it wasn't world changing. no. you're right. it wasn't.

but do albums that not change the world automatically = trash?

no.

this album has a LOT of redeeming qualitys, a lot of quality songs that spawned from it

does it make me pontificate and reevaluate my sense of morality and me to a higher plane of existence because two industry giants gave their most expanisve, cohesive, sonically greatest album ever with an undisputable mic performance to match?

no.

is it better then trash?

yes. much.

If I recall right you had not checked for Jay for 10 years, why the fukk are you so eager to discuss his latest album? Why are you so eager to state that you don't want to play it 2 years later? On some not being invited to the party but staying talking about how little you wanted to go for a month.

And Fred Hamptons get thrown in the bushes.
1. He is nothing special, his father was.
2. the fukk they know about rap?
3. He was mad about Jay-z's grammar for saying that his father died when he should've said assassinated.

kanye is relevant to the discussion. i said kanye fell off with this album and that cruel summer joint. it aint all about jay. but u right, BP2 believe it or not and s. carter mixtape was jay last time of being great for a full project.

MBDTF was overproduced. The only song I can still listen to is "All Of The Lights"

WTT is better than mbdtf

im a fool for ever callin mbdtf a classic..that sht has no replayability whatsoever

MBDTF hasnt aged well, youre right. But id call it classic just based off the artistry alone. Theres no album out like it.

The beats were really out there--but it worked!:krs:

WTT the production was :trash:. The beats (except a few) were jarring and have no flow to them. And songs like lift off with beyonce coming out of nowhere off beat was completely, utterly, :scusthov::scusthov:

I was drooling waiting for WTT for months then when i finally listened..:gag::gag:

MBDTF was an artistic mesh of rock and rap with a definite edge to it:myman: You listen to MBDTF wearin a leather jacket with a blunt in the morning after a wild night cloudy by means of a drunken, cocained haze.
