In the Silver Lining
Check out "Maunder Minimum".....

cartoon-from-trenberth-ams-paper.jpg

Comic is basically back-tracking....all those things are nice.....but to make up a big lie to achieve those things is wack in of it self......and again it points to the fact that it's all about creating a global tax ........ it's a ploy.

I don't think you'll find any real scientist or in fact anybody who is concerned about climate change that would not want to explore the technology that you're talking about. They probably would have no problem supporting what ever investment would be necessary to determine the viability of this as a way of limiting carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The problem is that at the end of the day this isn't even a real "discussion" in the sense of any give/take. Your post above shows so perfectly that at its core you believe this is an issue to be determined mostly by how policies may affect industry/"fragile economies". The thing is, people would respect ya'll more if you were honest enough to admit you don't really care about the science, that you're concerned primarily about the immediate effects on the economy. I'll give you some credit though, you kept up the front for a solid 5+ posts.

naw, see you got it backwards. I don't CARE about the politics of all this stuff. I ONLY care about the science of it all, which is why I want to keep the politics out of this bullshyt, because they don't give any fukks about the real science.

These politicians want to pick and choose their research to further push along their own money grabbing agendas. Which at the same time will put the strain on economies.

so if you want to mix science with politics then you have to be able to answer to the ppl, and the ppl want a strong economy.

Rhetoric matters more than 'real science'. Matter of fact, science nowadays serves two purposes: censorship and freedom from thought.

I don't think some of you posting strawmen, know what that phrase means at all.
LOL

@Pink_Freud
Thanks for the links
Creating a position for the opposition then attacking it.

The entire premise of his initial commentary and subsequent posts is that climate change advocates are being hypocritical science deniers failing to accept solar activities role in climate change by focusing on studies that show human beings contribution.

It's a strawman because that's not what's happening. Advocates are focusing on the human element because we know we see evidence it is real and we have control over it.

No doubt.
Quite the strawman.

so ugh...care to explain how this is a strawman? or are you just gonna stick to overused HL jargon cuz you think it impresses the imbeciles on here that will go along parroting the same nonsense.

"I just want to make it clear that I am NOT a climate change denier, nor do I think that humans don't play a part in climate change. I'm just posting these for ppl to see that there is more to climate change than just humans and "pollution".

He's literally saying that people who support climate change disregard the sun's role in climate change.

Hold this neg.

LOL, how am I calling anyone a hypocritical science denier?

I am basically providing more scientific research to show that solar changes are ALSO contributing to climate change and that perhaps using this research, and adding on to this research and the human element that they can come up with better ways of attack climate change and help the environment.

No he literally doesn't say that people who support climate change disregard the sun's role. You made that up full cloth out of thin air.
He typed that he is showing people that there is more to climate change than just human action, and that is what he did.
He didn't attack climate change activists, he didn't state that climate change activists believe in only this and he is debunking them, so he isn't creating a strawman.
You need to learn to read better when you try to evaluate a statement, so you don't say things like you just did, and use terms incorrectly
