i got to 100k in two years.
Best advice I can give to young boys is
1.. enlist or commission in a cyber career field in the military.
2. Preferably within tthe Reserves or Guard so you can immediately transition to civlian sector
3. Find a Cyber unit in a Tech Hub like Seattle, San Antonio, Nashville, the DMV, Baltimore, Atlanta, Austin...Get on wit big companies who need ppl with Clearances for their Govt Contract
4. OR go Active Duty, enlist or commission in cyber, and do a quick 4 and GI bill your way to school...
5. After your trng in the Reserves/ETS in Active Duty, look for apprenticeships for vets. They got a whole thing now called Skillbridge where active duty brehs can run out their last 4 months in the military by being a student in training that your MOS/AFSC/Rating translates to in civilian sector. Your local State Department of Labor should have tons IT apprenticeships that can be paid for with GI bill or the company might PAY YOU to train
