Taker in 2001 was one of the biggest fukkboys in the business

Didn't care about match quality, refused to put people over and politicked like a motherfukker

02 and 03 was good though

Did you not understand his gimmick at the time? He was sick of putting people over because he had done that his entire career, so he was finally out for himself and i him for doing it.

Big Red was that dude he should be doing that gimmick today, it honestly didn't feel right then but y'all couldn't tell me he wouldn't be killing it as Big Red right now.

That Undertaker gimmick is out of date and foolish for this era

Big Red/Big Evil is basically Mark Calaway which is why he was so comfortable with it. The ladder match between him and Jeff Hardy is still one of the best RAW main events ever imo.

One of the best character reinventions ever.

Introduced a new finisher(Last Ride), themes(American Badass, Rollin, Dead Man, You're Gonna Pay) talked more and switched up his in ring style(adding the dragon sleeper, triangle choke, etc), changed his whole look.

Added new catchphrases "This is my yard." and "I'll make you famous." Really felt like something different, I liked it.

If I remember correctly they said something about that time in 1999-2000 Taker wanted to take a break for injuries plus he felt a little burnt out. At the same time his contract was about to run out and was heavily thinking about not resigning and possibly going to WCW. Problem was that if he sign to WCW he couldn't be the "Deadman" anymore because WWF owns that gimmick so he came up with the "Biker" gimmick to use over at WCW.

Eventually he decided to stay and resign with WWF and he wanted to still use the "Biker" gimmick so he could be more of himself plus he realized that around that time being a "dead zombie" wasn't too marketable compared to guys like Austin and Rock. Plus WWF realized how they could make some money off the gimmick change hence why Taker had "American Bad Ass" by Kid Rock as his new entrance theme since Kid Rock was one of the hottest musical acts at the time and then getting the "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit theme since that time period was the band's peak of popularity.

Knew this but good looking on the history lesson bruh.
