And act like the Bay didn't have multiple hit records during the mid 2000's breh, E-40 alone had and/or was featured on 10+ nationwide hits in the 2000s. And what does your definition of classic have to do with this thread anyway, music don't gotta chart on the Billboard top 40 to be timeless

i'll be the 1st to say it and accept the shyt that'll be thrown my way but hip hop started a downward spiral in 97/98ish and by the time the 2000s rolled around, it was a bunch of "trendy" bullshyt that nikkas was ridin' for and hypin' up

yeah, the dipset had nice beats from time to time, but them nikkas was a bunch of mediocre rappers on the mic. i know how big they were and i use to listen to a lot of their shyt, but i never thought much of them as rappers because they weren't all that to begin with. the beats carried the majority of them nikkas

cam is an underachiever too. i don't care how much nikkas dikk ride him (pause ) he was always hype over actual great music.

g unit was a time period act, as was 50 cent. it was cool for the moment but in 2016, aside from a few singles, who really wants to listen to 50 cent and g unit?


yeah, the 2000s was like sugar shyt for the most part. don't get me wrong, it was some nice albums here and there, but it was a very glossy and hyped up moment
