and why are people in here harping about late '80s rap as if early & mid-80s hip-hop wasnt that chit? smh @ these half-ass props.

oh and its already clear that '80s music has aged better than '00s music. we're just 5 years removed from that decade, and its already hit-or-miss in hindsight. as opposed to the '80s, which is a distant memory yet still going stronger.

Old school rap(79-83) gets no love. They think it's just Rapper's Delight and the Message. A lot dope sh!t from that era.

me too...I prefer the 80s. To be honest I don't really listen to a lot of the music I bought in the 00s besides a few artist like Ghostface and Quik and few others. Def not singles. I listen to way more music from the 70s/80s/90s. 50s and 60s I like a lot the doo wop and jazz joints but I'm still haven't really gotten deep into those eras yet.
