:wtf::mindblown:

This thread has NOTHING to do with CM Punk or Daniel Bryan.

Christian was great, though. Probably should've won a world title in WWE long before 2011, but with all of the sustained world title pushes that were happening in 2004-2005 (Brock to Eddie to JBL to Cena on SmackDown; Hunter to Benoit to Orton to Hunter to Batista on RAW), there was really no room to slot him in without fukking up major storylines. It doesn't excuse them for blatantly trying to kill his heat in every manner possible in 2005 and not turning him face when the fans desperately wanted it, but he probably did much better for himself than we realize by going to TNA than just resigning with WWE.

don't forget michael hayes hard on for the harvey boyz, booking smackdown at the time, which led to matt harvey being jeff's attacker instead of christian, leading to one of the worst and most boring harvey vs harvey matches at mania.

christian/jeff would've been dope.

It has nothing to do with Lita, Edge, or anyone else either. Stop being a little girl. A comparison was gonna be made on him regardless because of him having to deal with politics and not having it as easy as those mentioned. Do you need things explained to you in elementary terms now? I can gladly oblige.

As for the little RVD fan..the Rock is how Christian went to the next level and why this thread even is possible.

Lita and Edge are relevant to the discussion because of how their and Chriatian's careers are intertwined. CM Punk and Bryan were in ROH at the time, and thus had nothing to do with Christian not getting pushed.

The only reason you being Punk and Bryan up is because you want to take every opportunity possible to slander Punk due to him critiquing The Rock (which is apparently a crime punishable with death in your universe) and you've transferred whatever love you had for him to Bryan. If Bryan were to critique The Rock in the future, you'd hate him just as much.

It's kind of pathetic, honestly.

If I remember correctly, the reason Christian got pulled from that angle was because of information on Christian's return leaking, not because of Hayes.

What I never get about WWE doing that is this: People WANTED to see Christian in that spot. As a matter of fact, the fact that it leaked actually may have built anticipation for it. And yet they threw it away for a nonsensical Hardy/Hardy feud (I mean, I actually liked their WrestleMania match, but it still shouldn't have happened). So shortsighted.

100% cosign everything here except the theme this one is CLEARLY his best:
Christian 9th WWE Theme (Just Close Your Eyes / V1) HD/DL - YouTube

They done gave the man a main event theme and everything! (one of the top themes of all time) it was Christian at his cockiest. Swag levels were :whew:

03/04 Christian was *jayz ehh gif* I fukked w the progression though and 05 Christian was ON FIRE. Talk about bad timing... Cena fukks everything up.

Christians mic skills were top level and had the crowd with him. There was nothing he could have done more in 05 and I would have felt discouraged and wanted to get away for a bit too.

Him leaving and coming back although 2nd time around hasnt been epic, makes him look good overall compared to being relegated to kofi status forever.

CC has never had an outright bad theme, IMO. But seriously, 2003-2005 was probably the best Christian we've seen. They could've sneaked a transitional reign in there or something, right?

Ah well. They missed on him while the iron was hot. Like they did a lot of others.

What was so good about Christian in 2005? Like, give me some moments. I already know about the "Mark-e-Mark" promo and having Tomko "drop him a beat," so give me some more must see moments.

^That's the thing - people need to stop saying he should have had Edge's spot or comparing the two. He should have had a spot in addition to Edge.

TNA should have done better by Christian. I think they realized that when they brought him back last year. He was the guy that made jumps like Angle possible. He had a great run and felt like a big deal there. And the core audience enjoyed it because it was the same group of people who felt he got shafted by the E.

I still wonder if this is really the reason Christian didn't get that green light :russ:

and btw, OG "Just Close Your Eyes" is a GOAT theme. His best and its not even close (unless you count the Brood). Even the TNA ripoff was fire.

Yea. I don't understand why people have this either or thing with Edge and Christian. Edge was/is Christian's biggest fan. He wanted to put him over on his way out and always wanted them to have a world title feud.

Edge had no control over Christian's push. Vince just for whatever reason, didn't want to make Christian into a main event guy then probably held it against him when he left for TNA. I think in 07 he might've pushed him but by then it was too late because Christian was long gone.

I will always believe Christian should've been a bigger deal than he was/is, and I know TNA must shyt themselves that they fukked up on his push so bad.

As much as I hate Fatt Hardy, imagine what TNA would've been like if he'd gone there in 05 :damn: he would've dropped the ball inevitably, but TNA would've been :eat:

Christian has got to be the only dude in WWE history to win a World Title via disqualification. I can't even believe they went down that road with him.

That was some true Vince Russo level booking

That's all in your head. There is no proof of what you're saying..you assumed like a teenager with no facts, no sense, and proof of bearing. That's the only thing resembling pathetic in that rant you thought you bore out.

What the Punk and Rock craziness from 2011 have to do with Christan's rise in 2004 is BEYOND my comprehension though.

I dunno, you tell me. You were the one who brought Punk up in the thread when there was no reason to and no one else was thinking of him.

I swear, arguing with you is like arguing with a child sometimes...
