I always felt Christian was under appreciated by the WWE. I remember being upset(and the IWC as a whole) when the E had him win the title for the first time ever...only to steal it from under him, and give it to Orton two days later. Terrible booking on the E's part. Christian's career hasn't been the same since

Christian's gonna be one of the guys we talk about in the future as a guy who was underrated and who should have held the WWE title just like we do now with Rick Rude and Mr. Perfect.

:wtf::mindblown:

This thread has NOTHING to do with CM Punk or Daniel Bryan.

Christian was great, though. Probably should've won a world title in WWE long before 2011, but with all of the sustained world title pushes that were happening in 2004-2005 (Brock to Eddie to JBL to Cena on SmackDown; Hunter to Benoit to Orton to Hunter to Batista on RAW), there was really no room to slot him in without fukking up major storylines. It doesn't excuse them for blatantly trying to kill his heat in every manner possible in 2005 and not turning him face when the fans desperately wanted it, but he probably did much better for himself than we realize by going to TNA than just resigning with WWE.
Been a long time so I forget but how'd they try to kill his momentum and when should he have turned face?

Christian held WWECW DOWN after everyone had stopped watching. Christian making Zack Ryder look like a great heel? Christian vs. Swagger? Whaaat. The Ruthless Roundtable? I feel like that's a piece of WWE history that will only be appreciated by a select few. Christian ran that shyt, man. Edge was running around putting Paul Bearer in fukking freezers and shyt. FOH.

2005 Christian should be feuding with Cena and get Main Event status, but they had to bury him by sending him to SmackDown

What was so good about Christian in 2005? Like, give me some moments. I already know about the "Mark-e-Mark" promo and having Tomko "drop him a beat," so give me some more must see moments.
His promo with Vince, his promo in London, his promo in Canada, his Peep Show with Batista, his Peep Show with Eddie and Rey, his promos on Cena. Dude was the most over guy on RAW for a good portion of 2005 before he left and he was cutting the best promos on the show. Kudos to him for saying fukk you to Vince when it was obvious he wasn't getting what he deserved.

I always liked Christian but I can see why people consider him Edge-light or diet-Edge. he had a cool moveset, was good the mic, and I was listening to him on the Jericho podcast and seems like a cool dude. Wasn't jealous at all that Edge was way more successful. He was better in the ring than anywhere else, and for that alone, I think he is really underrated as a worker. I always felt like he did a good job of adjusting to whoever he had a match with. he could fly, do power moves (just not the spear), chain wrestle, etc.

The Killswitch was legit and I remember he broke Matt Hardy's face with it. He also had a cool variation on the reverse DDT. I missed most of wrestling after Benoit died, so I didn't see a lot of his solo work, so maybe I'm overrating him. I dunno.
