2006 NBA Finals...Rigged?

Interesting video, one of my boys has been saying for YEARS that this series was rigged. 2006 was a long ass time ago so I don't remember the series that well but all I remember was Wade going blood

However, supposedly Wade shot more Freethrows than the ENTIRE Mavs team in one of those games (Game 5 I think) and supposedly shot an astounding number of FT's in that series.




That 2006 Mavs team were nice, I remember they used to have some straight up wars with Steve Nash's Suns and the Spurs back then
That Heat team was nice too tho, Wade was carrying them

What makes me wonder a bit is even tho Wade was going blood he was being guarded by Devin Harris and Jason Terry primarily (I could be wrong on this tho). Harris and Terry are not physical guards, that Mavs team was not a physical team so I don't see how they would keep sending Wade to the line over and over

cmon breh..... when you look at the difference between how the mavs played in 2006 vs 2011, you can see the difference between champions and losers. champions make plays and dont even allow the refs to be a factor.

also, this was when D-wade was "flash". i know people may have forgotten just how fast he was back then since his game has changed so much now, but no one could stay in front of him. their only hope was to play off of him, but his midrange was straight cash

Officiating is always going to be suspect as long as they keep things the way they are but the conspiracy theorists lost a ton of credibility after that still pic came out of Devin Harris clearly grabbing Wade's arm on a last second layup attempt.

refs was out there giving Wade them "trying to help Jordan get over the hump" calls all series

The 2011 series was obviously rigged too

The league probably gave that one to the Mavs for cheating them in 06
