Pau Gasol's menstrual cycle.
which made Paus clutch shot hook shot over KG that much sweeter

Pau Gasol's menstrual cycle.
Between Pierce, Allen, and Garnett? I always get a different answer, dependin' on whomever I talk to. Do you think they got it right already, or should either Garnett or Allen have won it? It doesn't seem like there's ever been a true consensus to this topic, so I figured I'd try to establish one here. Here are the stats from each durin' those Finals, per nba.com:
Paul Pierce
21.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.17 steals on 43-39-83
Kevin Garnett
18.2 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.67 steals, 1 block on 43-76
Ray Allen
20.3 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.33 steals on 51-52-87
I always thought Ray should have been the MVP but I wasn't mad when they gave it to Paul. All of them balled though and either of the three could have gotten it easily.
Please take your Blackfeet to the back of the bus. Pierce was easily the best player in the finals. Like another poster has said, the numbers don't tell the whole story even though Pierce lead the team in scoring and assists in the finals. He was the best player in the series. Don't let Ray Allen shooting wide open 3s in the blowout game 6 fool you, this wasn't close.
Breh your act is old. Take your Ray Allen propaganda somewhere else. :marcuscambythumbsdown:
Pierce won the award unanimously, get over it. Nobody is making Ray Allen the MVP of the series for bombing 3s in the blowout clincher. The Lakers had stopped playing and this dude was still stat padding.
The only person who thought Ray Allen was the MVP of that series was Ray Allen and his bandwagon fans.
You probably think Ray Allen is/was a better player than Pierce and higher/greater on an all-time list, right?![]()
You can miss me with that Ray act shyt. I don't think he's higher than the Truth as an overall player but he had a legit argument to being MVP. Ray balled out that whole series. From that layup against Vujacic to hitting clutch three's all series Ray put in work in that series. You act like I say he was robbed. I just said that he was a more than worthy of winning MVP just like KG.
When you factor in his defense on Kobe, particularly Game 4 when the C's had that huge comeback win, its easily Pierce
Paul Pierce?? I thought it was mostly James Posey and Ray Allen defending Kobe.
Pierce only defended Kobe for a short amount a time... fukk outta here![]()
What clutch 3s? nikka sit the fukk down and stop trying to rewrite history. Any person with half a brain could see that Pierce was the best player in this series. Again, These numbers are only somewhat close because Ray Allen went off in a blowout, or rather he went off while the game was already over. Nobody gives a fukk about Ray Allen hitting 3s when the championship was already wrapped up. The only claim you can make for Ray is his layup over Sasha and his shooting %, which was heavily skewed because of game 6.
If you believe that then so be it. But I know that Ray contributed greatly and without him they wouldn't have won that ring. Pierce was not that much better than Ray or KG in the 08 Finals.

Easily Kevin Garnett, played monster defense and raped whoever guarded him on the other end. Pierce might have been here since ever but KG was the heart of that 08 championship team
Shuttlesworth and Posey mostly guarded Bryant, along w/ that zone tho. Pierce DID guard Kobe, but it was only durin' the last few minutes or so.

isn't the last few minutes the most critical time of the game? And as I said b4, in the game that swung the series, he guarded Kobe the entire 2nd half
Piru P and it's not as close as any stat would suggest
